Fillers
Hyaluronic Acid and Radiesse
Filler is used to fill in deep lines and wrinkles and replace lost volume due to aging or weight loss. It should be considered in conjunction with wrinkle relaxers aka botox.
Areas treated include:
Lips: Starting with one syringe of filler $550
Dr. O’Leary is proud to provide a dental block as requested for lip fillers for a near painless experience.
Nasolabial folds (lines from your nose to mouth)
Marionette lines (from your mouth to chin)
Chin fold
Chin and jaw definition
Cheeks
Temples
Other deep set lines and wrinkles of the face
The type of filler is dependent on the area treated and tissue integrity and desired affect. A consult is needed to determine what filler is best for each individual.
What to expect
Pre procedure
You will be asked to hold aspirin for a week before filler.
If you have a history of cold sores, Dr. O’Leary will prescribe a medication, such as valtrex, for you to take prior to the procedure.
Patients who are pregnant, have had a bad reaction to fillers in the past, or have had anaphylaxis to anything are not candidates.
There are several different types of filler. We will discuss what is best for you to achieve your results. Often, more than one syringe is needed.
Risks of the procedure include bruising, and more seriously, a blocked blood vessel which will require dissolving the filler as soon as possible.
You will have swelling for up to two weeks post procedure, and you may initially think you have received too much filler.
You must avoid pressure on any area with filler for 48 hours as the filler can be moved during this time.
